This month the theme for the #AYearAThon was finish/catch up on series. Naturally I believed I could read all the rest of the Mortal Instruments books before City of Heavenly Fire came out, but I didn’t. I finished City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments #2) – Cassandra Clare and City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments #3) – Cassandra Clare. I just finished City of Fallen Angels and I will read the last two this month. I cannot wait to start City of Heavenly Fire! Oh my lord. AND TFIOS IS THIS WEEK! WHAT.
This month the #AYearAThon theme was re-read. I only read one book, and it’s one of my favorites. I read City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1) – Cassandra Clare. I love this book and this will have been the third time I’ve read it. Overall, I think I could have probably read at least one more of the Mortal Instruments books, but I just didn’t have time. While was writing this post I hit 100 followers on my blog! 100 people in six months! That is so crazy. Anyway, THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS FOLLOWED! I love each and every one of you :)
Woo! Being a slacker caused me to forget to do this post! I’m going to do it right now because I feel like it. This month the #AYearAThon theme was Twilight. I dropped the ball on this month. I was planning to read at least the first two Twilight books, but I only finished Twilight (Twilight #1) – Stephenie Meyer. Overall I really enjoyed this book, but I just decided I didn’t want to read the second. I own all of them but most of the time I don’t like to marathon series. I like to break up series with reading little books or books from other series in between. I really enjoyed Twilight and I’m glad that this month’s theme was Twilight. :)
In Conclusion will be a meme created by yours truly that will be posted once a month for the #AYearAThon. This month was Harry Potter themed. I read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter #2) – J. K. Rowling *review*, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter #3) – J. K. Rowling *review*, and got halfway through Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter #4) – J. K. Rowling.
I have enjoyed this read-a-thon because I can connect with other people reading the same things that I am. I love being able to talk about books, therefore the blog, and discuss parts that we loved or hated or just got annoyed by. I am so thrilled to be part of this group on Goodreads and watch the YouTube videos. I am very proud of how much I have read for this read-a-thon this month. I read a total of 1,113 pages of Harry Potter from the 3-9 of this month. That is pretty awesome in my opinion.
