Yay! Finally got a review up this week! Have I finished A Discovery of Witches? NO! Was I really busy this week? YES! Alright. I have been saying I would finish A Discovery of Witches for about 2 months now. I have review books I need to read and am very behind on them. Oops. I’ve been trying! I promise. Anyway, I finished Watership Down and almost cried at the end. I am about to read a handful of pages in King Dork right now because book club tomorrow! I get entirely too excited for book club, but I don’t even care that my nerdiness shows :) I have had a big week this week. Nutcracker auditions were this past Friday and I got Spanish, Baker, and Soldier. I learned all the choreography for the parts yesterday night and this afternoon. I think it went really well, actually. I’m very excited for this year’s performance. We are collaborating with Ballet Nebraska located in Omaha. It should be an amazing season :)

Oh, and just a reminder: I am doing a giveaway when I hit 200 followers! Stay tuned for that!

Happy Sunday! This week went extremely fast for me and I had almost no homework which was amazing. Something awesome happened to me this week, well last night. I ordered an Erin Condren planner for 2015! Yes I am getting worked up and super pumped about a planner. I literally carry my planner everywhere with me. I write homework assignments in it during school, my dance classes, schedules in general, and when I need to post on my blog. I have had Walmart planners for about 3 years and they’ve worked alright, but I decided I could splurge on something like this because I would use it all the time. One amazing thing about the Erin Condren 2015 planners is that the cover is interchangeable so you don’t have to just choose one, you can get many. I also am in love with the layout of the planner. There is a full two page spread of the full month with places to write monthly goals on the side, but the best part is the weekly page view. Each day of the week is separated into morning, day, and night. I don’t usually do much in the mornings and don’t have appointments or work or anything because I’m at school, so I will probably use the morning section as a blogging and reading goals section. In the day section I will write all my school assignments, and in the night section all the things I have to do after school. I am seriously so excited!

*if you’d like to order one of these beautiful planners, use my referral code for $10 off!*

This was one of the pictures I saw that inspired me to get one of these planners. I think this is so cute and obviously so easy to customize. I am not the artsiest person on the planet, but I do know how to put color schemes together. I’m thinking I’ll color coordinate the theme of each week to the month’s color. Almost all of the decorating done to these pages are created with washi tape.

I am also obsessing over the song Trumpets by Jason Derulo. Have been listening to it on repeat for hours on end.

As for my reading this week, it was a little slow. I will finish A Discovery of Witches tonight, I read about 60 pages of King Dork for my book club, and I’m almost done with Watership Down for my novel class.

Sorry for the long post today! Thanks for staying with me even though I haven’t posted all that much!

This week has been so busy. Shocking since I’m totally not a busy girl. *ha ha, jk* I had a butt-load of homework every day, cheer after school on Tuesday and Thursday, had to cheer at a football game on Friday night, dance on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, band every morning at 7:30, then finally a band competition on Saturday. We got home from the competition at about 1:15 in the morning. I was so exhausted and I had fun at the competition except for a couple things that make my life not-so-great. Colorguard got a 1 rating at the state competition, so that went well. I don’t feel so great today because of a bad headache, but I slept until noon. Never in my life have I slept that late and I really enjoyed sleeping in. My nana and aunt came over today and my mom and I talked to them and my aunt asked me if I’d be a bridesmaid at her wedding. I haven’t ever been part of a wedding, so I’m excited for that :)

My reading this week has been really slow, but I will be posting more after football season is over. I will have much more free time to read and blog. I finished Lord of the Flies – William Golding for my English II class and am still reading Watership Down. I am also still reading A Discovery of Witches. It seriously has never ever taken me this long to read a single book. Business has gotten the better of me. I will read as much as I can tonight and then start The Book of Charlie sent to me by Jerome Mark Antil for reviewing purposes.

I plan to do an international giveaway when I hit 200 followers! I will be giving away 2 separate prizes of 2 books each. I am so excited because I think it will be a really fun way to connect with everyone!

Woo on being a somewhat (not really) consistent blogger! This week has been absolutely crazy. So busy all the time. Running from one place to another, but I have to admit that I do really love it. Dance has been going really well. I just got new pointe shoes and now I can actually turn on them. When pointe shoes get used a lot they get what dancers call, dead. They don’t have a flat toe anymore and balancing gets really difficult. My arches looked beautiful with my old shoes, but now I can turn and do barre and across the floor stuff so that’s really exciting. Still reading the same books I was last week. Whoops.

I have one chapter left in Lord of the Flies, but I don’t like it so totally don’t want to finish it. I am about 60 pages into Watership Down, and at almost the exact same spot in A Discovery of Witches. Yeah. Go reading slumps.

Hello, everyone! This is a new meme (of sorts) that I have decided to take up. The idea is that every Sunday there will be a recap of posts from the week, news, books currently reading, things going on in my life, etc. My favorite book blog, YA Midnight Reads, does this and I love the concept so I decided to steal their idea :)

This week has been hectic as far as school. I have had a ton of homework, especially with Biology. I don’t really like science, so Biology is kind of a drag for me. I’m not bad at it, but I usually end up writing way too much for lab reports or questions from the textbook. How people can just write two sentences for a whole chapter is beyond me. For the lab that I just finished I filled up four extra pages of notebook paper… Anyway, I don’t like math either and we had a quiz on Tuesday. We have standard based grading in math, so you have to get almost 100% on everything to pass the class. You’re probably thinking, “What? 100% in math. All the time?” Yeah. I know that you’re saying that because that’s exactly what I thought before classes started. We actually do homework assignments and take quizzes, but nothing is graded except for tests. So really, if you bomb one of your tests, you’re pretty much screwed. Go school systems.

Where I live the school decided to break the unbroken English system. We have English classes 1-4 in the same room, but doing completely different things. I’m taking Novel because I thought that it would be so fun to get graded on writing book reports, which I basically do anyway, but it’s not that way at all. Novel is an English 4 class, so I have to do all the English 4 curriculum in addition to reading and answering questions about chapters in the books we read. Alright. Totally not okay.

I also found out that the trip that students are allowed to go on every four years is to Italy! I’ve never been out of the country, so I am so excited to go on this trip! It’s really expensive, but I think it’s worth it. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that you get to go on a trip with all your high school friends. So pumped.

Reading this month for me has been so so so bad. Literally have been in a slump since school started. I’ve read no books this month that weren’t for school. That is so pathetic. So my plan is to get at least 100 pages read today in A Discovery of Witches before I have dance. Currently reading Lord of the Flies for my English 2 class. I’m on chapter 7 and am really not liking it. At all. Also just finished Fahrenheit 451 for my Novel class. Review will be up tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
