Hello, hello. Happy end of the week. Tomorrow second semester officially starts; dreading it, but looking forward to it at the same time. I haven’t read that much in the past couple of weeks, but I am going to try and finish a couple books this week. I am banning myself from Netflix and YouTube, so I’ll read more. I am currently reading The Murder of Roger Ackroyd for book club, Just One Year, and Clockwork Angel. My goal is to finish Just One Year and Clockwork Angel because I just need to. So, honestly I don’t have much to talk about! With the new semester comes a new class. Lifetime Sports. Hmm. Just digest that for a second… I am not sporty. At all. It’s a miracle that I can play soccer. I hate running. I have no hand-eye coordination. It’s going to be a mess. Ooh. Very nervous for that class. Wish me luck. Please… or prayers. Or both.

Hello, hello! Good evening, everyone. This week has been good for me, but I’ve realized that I probably will not make my GoodReads reading goal this year. I’m honestly okay with that, though. I love reading, but I think the reason I have been in such a slump is because I’ve been pressured to read because of this GoodReads goal. In 2015 I think I’m going to set my goal at 50 books, rather than 62, but I’m going to not stress about it. I have decided that I am going to do a 2015 Reading Challenge. It is a full year long challenge with a bunch of cool books to read.

2015 Reading Challenge

I found this challenge on Pinterest and am so excited, because I am going to really commit to this. I’ve never done anything like this, and I think it will be refreshing to take a step away from young adult. I love young adult, but I’ve found that almost all are the same. Dystopian, forbidden love, dire situations. But, branching out to adult, and non-fiction, fantasy. There are so many choices in books that are not YA. In the new year I will be trying to branch out.

This weekend I’ve been sick with the flu. So puking my guts out, basically. I have read quite a few pages today, but I don’t think I really took in the story because of the whole vomiting thing. I’m currently reading Endgame: The Calling – James Frey and am really really loving it. Oh my, let me tell ya. Sarah and Jago are perfect. Christopher just needs to stop, and An and Chiyoko are great. Holy goodness sakes. Sarah and Jago. Mm. Shipping them so hard. If you’ve read this book you understand.

Happy Sunday everyone! This week was a pretty good reading week for me. I finished two books, two short stories, and started another book. I finished The Girl in Between and LOVED it! I highly suggest it. Very interesting premise and story line. The characters were very lovable and beautifully broken. 5 out of 5 stars to The Girl in Between. I also finished Take Me Tomorrow and really liked that one as well! I read two of the short stories in Zombies vs. Unicorns for book club. We are slowly making our way through Zombies vs. Unicorns; every week we vote on which story we liked better, zombies or unicorns. Zombies is currently winning by a lot because there have been some amazing stories from Team Zombie. I also started Clockwork Angel which is very exciting for me! I love Cassandra Clare and the Mortal Instruments and the Shadowhunter world in general, so going to 1800’s England just makes it even better. I’ve decided that I don’t like NetGalley, so I won’t be using it anymore. It’s such a hassle to get it onto something I can actually read because before I was using my mom’s Kindle app on her iPad. I can’t really steal her iPad whenever I want, and I can’t read it on my computer. So, bummer. Whatever, though. Remember to put your name into my rafflecopter drawing for my 200 follower giveaway! There are some wonderful books up for grabs!

Happy Sunday! This week has been a really horrible reading week and I even “participated” in the 24 in 48 Readathon. I tried. I honestly did, but I was so busy this weekend. I had a lot going on so I read a total of…. 3 HOURS! Lol I failed so so badly. Besides the failed attempt at the Readathon, I set up a bullet journal. I am very excited about this because I used a journal that I had lying around my house. The purpose behind the bullet journal is to have to-do lists all in one place, basically a more efficient to-do list. I am always making to-do lists and can’t wait until I actually get the hang of it. You have different symbols for different tasks. All the information is found on the bullet journal website. If you’re interested just look up bullet journal setup on YouTube. I have an Erin Condren Life Planner for 2015 and cannot wait to use it, but this bullet journal will be carried in my purse instead of my backpack for school. I will transfer things like homework and school events to my bullet journal from my planner, and transfer necessary to-do lists to my planner. Seems a little redundant, but I’m still excited. I highly suggest looking up bullet journaling if you like having a set to-do list that you cross off. Other than my exciting paper goods, I have watched a lot of YouTube this week… mostly about planners and bullet journals. #SorryNotSorry. Anyway, I plan to finish The Book of Charlie soon, I will read tonight. I will start Take Me Tomorrow after that, and I am so excited to read it because Shannon A. Thompson is one of my all time favorite authors.

Hey hey and welcome to my weekly post about what I did this week, both bookish and non-bookish. This week was a really good reading time for me. Of course I did a lot of YouTube watching, but I did end up finishing my book club book, King Dork. I posted that review today and something pretty awesome happened. So, if you know me from Twitter you know that every time I publish a post it sends out a link in a tweet telling everyone to come and read it, well Frank Portman (the author of King Dork) favorited and retweeted my tweet about it! He also tweeted at me telling me that he was glad I enjoyed his novel! That honestly was the highlight of my day. On Saturday I participated in a fashion show that was happening at my local “mall.” I put quotations around the word mall because it is the worst mall with about 5 stores. Two of which are old lady stores and another is a sketchy laundromat, but there is a really expensive boutique with teen clothes. I got a dress that I modeled for 30% off, so that’s cool. After the fashion show deal I just went home and read, watched YouTube, and decorated my planner. I seriously had so much fun just chilling at home. I did get my Erin Condren Life Planner that I was freaking out about before (!!!!) There is a picture on my instagram. *instagram name: aubreybrowning* It’s beautiful and I’m seriously in love with it. I also decided to start writing in a journal. I highly suggest writing in a journal. Even though this week wasn’t extremely stressful I just felt more put together right before I went to sleep because I wrote down my thoughts on my day. Exciting, right? Wrong actually. I have a pretty boring life that is busy with activities; therefore, no actual social life with friends. KEWL. I don’t know if any of you remember, but I decided to start the book chain! A Discovery of Witches is the first book on the list! Comment if you’re interested in being part of my book chain :)

Happy Sunday! Today was a very good reading day for me! I think I’m finally on my way out of this couple-month-long reading slump. I just sat down and read and it really felt relaxing. Reading hasn’t felt relaxing to me in a while and I missed it. There will be a lot of posts up on the blog this week because I will be finishing A Discovery of Witches tomorrow, King Dork within the next week for book club, and Of Mice and Men for novel. On top of all of those posts I will be starting a Blogger Spotlight featuring new bloggers that I think need a bigger audience. I also got tagged in the Liebster Blog Award so that post will be up this week as well. I am trying to be more active as things have slowed down a bit. No more marching band (sad, but glad to be done for the season) and football is almost over. Slacking so much on posting lately! Going to change that :)

Happy Sunday! This week went extremely fast for me and I had almost no homework which was amazing. Something awesome happened to me this week, well last night. I ordered an Erin Condren planner for 2015! Yes I am getting worked up and super pumped about a planner. I literally carry my planner everywhere with me. I write homework assignments in it during school, my dance classes, schedules in general, and when I need to post on my blog. I have had Walmart planners for about 3 years and they’ve worked alright, but I decided I could splurge on something like this because I would use it all the time. One amazing thing about the Erin Condren 2015 planners is that the cover is interchangeable so you don’t have to just choose one, you can get many. I also am in love with the layout of the planner. There is a full two page spread of the full month with places to write monthly goals on the side, but the best part is the weekly page view. Each day of the week is separated into morning, day, and night. I don’t usually do much in the mornings and don’t have appointments or work or anything because I’m at school, so I will probably use the morning section as a blogging and reading goals section. In the day section I will write all my school assignments, and in the night section all the things I have to do after school. I am seriously so excited!

*if you’d like to order one of these beautiful planners, use my referral code for $10 off!*

This was one of the pictures I saw that inspired me to get one of these planners. I think this is so cute and obviously so easy to customize. I am not the artsiest person on the planet, but I do know how to put color schemes together. I’m thinking I’ll color coordinate the theme of each week to the month’s color. Almost all of the decorating done to these pages are created with washi tape.

I am also obsessing over the song Trumpets by Jason Derulo. Have been listening to it on repeat for hours on end.

As for my reading this week, it was a little slow. I will finish A Discovery of Witches tonight, I read about 60 pages of King Dork for my book club, and I’m almost done with Watership Down for my novel class.

Sorry for the long post today! Thanks for staying with me even though I haven’t posted all that much!
