I HAVE INTERNET! Hello, my lovely book people. I officially have internet at my house again! Woooooo. Anyway, I have read one book this month…one. Yes, only one. That book was a book I had to read for school. I hated everything about the book. It’s called A Separate Peace. It sucked so much. No plot. No character development. Nothing. I am still reading A Discovery of Witches (The All Souls Trilogy #1) – Deborah Harkness. I am in a horrible reading slump. It’s honestly so bad. I am reading Fahrenheit 451 and Lord of the Flies for school as well, and I am really enjoying Fahrenheit 451 at the moment. It’s a really cool concept and it reminds me of The Giver. Lord of the Flies is so so so weird. A Discovery of Witches is definitely not my favorite thing ever. It’s kind of a really long book and I don’t like it so I’m reading it really slow. I have been a really sucky blogger, so sorry about that. I will be better at posting more consistently now that I have internet :)
I have the reviews written in my notebook for The Pompey Hollow Book Club and The Clue of the Broken Locket, but haven’t had time to type them out and post them. Those will be coming soon, promise. I am currently reading A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy #1) – Deborah Harkness and Blog Inc. – Joy Deangdeelert Cho. A Discovery of Witches is actually really slow. I was super excited to read this because I love fantasy, but the witches in this book are really irritating. Blog Inc. is probably going to be a weird review because it’s a non-fiction (kind of) book. It’s really about how to make your blog more successful. Very short update, but just letting everyone know that reviews are coming soon :)
Hey guys. So, I know I’ve been super MIA lately but I have my reasons. A couple weeks ago I was at a dance intensive that lasted a week and didn’t have access to a computer all week, and then the last couple weeks I’ve been working a lot and hanging out with friends. I also don’t have a computer of my own like I did during the school year. I have to work around my mom’s schedule to see when I can blog. I’ve been considering getting a laptop for myself, but just can’t imagine spending that much money. And now I’m sick. I don’t know if I spent too much time in the sun yesterday and that’s why I’m feeling lousy, but I feel really gross right now. So I will finish City of Heavenly Fire today and have the review up by the end of the day. I can almost guarantee it. :) Thank you for not unfollowing due to my lack of posting :)
I just finished The Legend of the Moonstone: A Series for Kids and Young Adults – Meglena Ivanova. Check out my review! *linked above* I am currently reading It’s Not Summer Without You (Summer #2) – Jenny Han. I really enjoyed the first one and need a quick and light hearted read right now. I finished the first one in a day, so I think I’ll be able to finish this one relatively quick. I’m very excited about this book because, like I said, I loved the first. If I can manage to finish this book before the end of the month, I will pick up Shadowland (The Immortals #3) – Alyson Noël to continue on with the story.
The author of Fury (The Fury Trilogy #1) – Elizabeth Miles and Envy (The Fury Trilogy #2) – Elizabeth Miles tweeted to me about my review on my blog and followed me on Twitter. *Elizabeth Miles Twitter* She also had someone tweet to her about my blog saying “Awesome to see @MilesBooks FURY on the top ten tuesday list!” This Twitter page also linked my blog in their tweet. *Paper Lantern Lit Twitter*
I have great news again! This blog has been mentioned twice in the past two days on different blogs! My review for Minutes Before Sunset (The Timely Death Trilogy #1) – Shannon A. Thompson was posted onto her website last night. I was ecstatic when I saw it this morning. I also woke up to an email from Meglena Ivanova about writing a guest post on her blog. I’m still a little confused on how to write a guest post, so I will have to do some more research about that. I cannot wait to read her book, The Legend of the Moonstone: A Series for Kids and Young Adults – Meglena Ivanova.
Thank you to the both of y0u for asking me to read and review, or guest post! It means a lot!!
